What does Himitsu mean?
“Secret” in Japanese.

What do you  like most about running the restaurant?
Socializing. I love to talk to people.

What do you like least about running the restaurant?
Time away from family.

Describe the type of food that is served here.
It’s kind of a fusion. 90% is Japanese style. 10% is made up.

What’s the most interesting comment you have ever received from a customer?
I had a customer tell me, “With your talent and your ideas, you should be in a 5-star hotel!”

If I were a first time customer, what would you recommend I order?
If you don’t like sushi, I encourage people to try the Bento box.
If it’s sushi you like, try anything with salmon.

You have quite a variety of sushi rolls. What’s your favorite and why?
Flaming Salmon. The reason why is it’s fun to make and when I light it on fire, the finished product is cool.

What makes your restaurant different from all the other Teriyaki restaurants out there?
Food just tastes better overall.
